Father, where’s the poor box?

We’re excited to try to better answer that common question by our participation in this year's iGiveCatholic giving day on Tuesday, November 28th. After Black Friday, Shop Local Saturday, Cyber Monday, consider participating in iGiveCatholic on Tuesday.

Gifts will help convert one of our unused confessionals into a three-niche statuary, directing us clearly to our offerings for the poor. Learn more about St. Rita's hopes for the day on our website.

Last year we successfully raised for our goal. Learn about the hopes we had for the day by seeing last year's video and page.

#iGiveCatholic is an online giving event for people across the nation (and the world!) to come together to raise as much money as possible for Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries located in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Diocese of Baton Rouge, Diocese of Biloxi, Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, and the Diocese of Jackson on one day: #GivingTuesday, November 28, 2017. Last year, #iGiveCatholic raised more than $1.3 million for the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end of year giving.

#iGiveCatholic is on #GivingTuesday, November 28, 2017 from 12:01 am to 11:59 pm (midnight to midnight) and takes place at www.iGiveCatholic.org
